By the end of the program student should be able to:
1- Provide an understanding of the basic and clinical principles of pharmacology and to apply such knowledge to clinical problems.
2- Develop research expertise, which enables candidates to conduct scientific research.
3- Participate efficiently in judgment and decision making in the health care system.
4- Encourage independent learning and continuing education.
5- Integrate the facts and concepts of pharmacology so as to solve clinical problems.
6- Provide preliminary skills in pharmacology sufficient to permit the proper medical treatment.
7- Provide an in depth understanding of the influence drugs on pathophysiology of disease and be able to modify the treatment plan accordingly.
8- Provide thorough understanding of the therapeutic agents used in routine practice and be able to select and use or prescribe the most appropriate drug for a given patient or condition.
